The new EuroTool Value Line bench lathe polishing kit with hoods includes tapered spindles, two medium grit abrasives wheels, one pair of replacement motor brushes and an owners manual. We are pleasantly surprised at the high quality finish of this low priced bench polisher, as it looks good and works well too. If you are looking to start a polishing system and don't want to spend much, this motor is a good place to start. The hoods have 2-1/2" outlets that can be connected via appropriate hose to a vacuum system like a shop vac or a Quatro dust collection unit and you will be in the polishing business! The new economy Basic Bench Lathe is only available in 110V and has a one year warranty. Made in China.
The Basic Bench Lathe is mounted on 4 rubber feet, but for best results,we recommend that you mount the polisher securely to a working surface. The Basic Bench Lathe has two mounting holes for doing so in the front of the unit. Two wood screws are supplied for mounting, as well as one hex key for securing the tapered spindels to the 1/4" diameter shafts. The base measures 6-1/4" wide by 5" deep. The spindle height is 4" from the center of the spindle to the table. Suitable for use with buffs up to 4" in diameter. The variable speed motor is turned on and off from the one knob that also increases and decreases speed. With tapered spindles mounted, the Basic Bench Lathe measures 13-1/4" across.
