Product Details

Ferris File-A-Wax Round Rods are the carving waxes preferred by master jewelers for lost wax casting. Each pack contains 2 round rods measuring 1-5/16" (33.3mm) in diameter by 11-1/4" (285.8mm) in length. Ideal for rings, cuff links, pendants, medallions, and more, these waxes are easily sawed, carved, drilled, milled, and turned on a lathe. They burn out cleanly from molds, withstand rough handling, and will not soften in the hand. All formulas carry an approximate melting point of 240°F.

Must be burned out of investment molds. Not for use in steam dewaxers.

Features

  • Six color-coded hardness formulas to match any carving or milling application
  • Suitable for hand carving, milling, lathe turning, sawing, and drilling
  • Burns out cleanly from investment molds
  • Will not soften in the hand during carving
  • Withstands rough handling without chipping or cracking
  • Approximate melting point of 240°F across all formulas
