Product Details

With outstanding flexibility, the Acrobat stand by Glendo/GRS works with you, not against you. It's easily positioned during work and swings away when desired. Arms move with adjustable friction and can be locked if desired. Built-in headrest reduces neck and back strain.

The Acrobat stand is the best microscope stand we have tested, as it is easy to position with adjustable tension levers and swings out of the way when not in use. Other types of microscope stands can be difficult to adjust and hard to move around, but the well-designed Acrobat stand provides tremendous flexibility and control.

The Acrobat stand weighs 19 lbs (shipping weight is more). The 6” x 4” heavy steel base has four mounting holes for attaching to a work surface (4 wood screws are supplied) or can be held in place with C-clamps (not supplied) if you don’t want to drill holes in your bench. The Acrobat stand has a steel rod mounted on the base that measures 24” long. The Acrobat can be set on that rod in any position from a low of 7-3/4” to a maximum height of 25” (measured from the center of the mounting ring). When fully compressed, the arm including microscope mounting ring is 16-1/4” deep. In the fully extended position, the arm including microscope mounting ring is 33-1/4”.

The mounting ring on the Acrobat has an inside diameter of 84mm (3.3”) that fits the OttoSetters microscope and the Meiji microscopes we sell as well as many other microscopes. The mounting ring is 21.1mm wide and 7.1mm thick. Scope heads are held in place with 3 adjustable plastic set screws.
