GRS 003-727 Leica A60 Aluminum Objective Auxiliary Lens Adapter

This is the GRS 003-727 Leica A60 objective auxiliary lens adapter, made by GRS in the United States. Leica also produces a A60 objective lens adapter, see part number 129.458, however Leica's adapter will change the zoom range from 6:1 to 5:1. GRS engineered an objective lens adapter that allows you to get the full value of the 6:1 zoom range that is standard with a Leica A60.

The GRS objective auxiliary lens adapter does not change the working distance of the auxiliary lens you use it with vs. using the Leica objective lens adapter, but it does give a wider range of magnifications (zoom range).

The Leica A60 was not originally designed to use objective auxiliary lenses.  Leica designed the A60 to give a satisfactory working distance for most application without the use of an objective auxiliary lens. Many Jewelers, with the large variety of workholding options and the need to work on objects both large and small, can appreciate the extra room added when using an objective auxiliary lens. Objective auxiliary lenses increase working distance while decreasing magnification. 

Once you install this GRS manufactured lens adapter to your Leica A60F microscope, you can then choose from 3 different Leica Objective Auxiliary Lenses to achieve different working distances, fields of view and magnification ranges.

To install a lens adapter, unscrew the Leica lens cover that protects the Leica primary lenses.  Then screw in the lens adapter. Then screw in the Leica objective auxiliary lens.  Finally, screw the Leica lens cover onto the Leica objective lens.
