Product Details

Glardon-Vallorbe Square Escapement Files (LE3020) are Swiss made precision files designed for the exacting work of jewelers, metalsmiths, and watchmakers. Also known as watchmakers files, these square-profile escapement files gradually taper in both width and thickness down to the point, making them ideal for fine detail work in tight spaces. Width measurements are given at the thickest point. File lengths are measured from the tip to the end of the cut — the tang is not included in this measurement.

Manufactured to precise production standards using a combination of machine cutting and hand craftsmanship, Glardon-Vallorbe files are made from the finest heat-tempered chrome alloy steel. They deliver superior performance on all metals and are recognized worldwide as the standard for quality, accuracy, and longevity.
