Heart Faceted Lab-Created Ruby

Composed of man-made corundum with the same chemical composition and durability as natural ruby, this July birthstone possess excellent clarity with vivid, even coloration. Known as the "King of Gems" in Sanskrit, Ruby is one of the most desired and valuable of gemstones as far back as biblical times. 

Ruby is the most valuable variety of corundum and has the highest per-carat price of any colored stone. Color ranges from orangy red to purplish red and pure, vivid red to slightly purplish red is the highest valued color. Some inclusions are to be expected as inclusion-free rubies are very rare. Heat treatment is also standard, as almost all of today's rubies undergo some type of heat treatment. 

Clean with warm, soapy water. Use of ultrasonic and steam cleaner is usually safe.
