This graphite crucible is made from virgin graphite, not compressed graphite, as so many other graphite crucibles on the market are. Our graphite crucibles are heavier then others with a bright shiny smooth surface when new. Same pattern as Kerr part number 29478 and Kerr part number 35620 . Used in all Kerr 30 troy ounce gold ( approximately 1 Kilo) Electro Melts from the current model 35222 and including the following earlier model numbers:

The outside measurements of a brand new Kerr 30 troy ounce (1 Kilo) capacity gold graphite crucible is 5" tall by 2-1/4" wide (measured at widest point). The crucible measures 1-5/8" wide below the lip. The crucible is 4-1/8" tall measured from bottom to top of "lip". The inside dimensions are 1-3/8" across by 4-3/16" deep. These dimensions will change as the crucible is used, as the graphite will wear as it is exposed to heat and air.
