Drill Press helps extend tool life and allows for greater precision while drilling.
This new miniature drill press is powered by an 110V/60Hz variable speed motor that has three different belt adjusted maximum speeds: 5000 RPM, 6500 RPM & 8500 RPM. The variable speed dial control turns the motor on/off and allows for variations in speed from about 10% of power up to max speed. You can also plug this mini drill press into an optional foot control rheostat (like the one you use on your Foredom Flex Shaft), set the power at high, and achieve remarkably low speed control while drilling. Using a drill press means fewer broken drills compared to hand held drilling as well as a much higher level of precision in your work.
This miniature drill press uses an adjustable Jacobs chuck that will take bits from as small as 0.6mm up to 6.0mm in diameter. The maximum travel of the Jacobs chuck is 1" (25.4mm), while the distance between the work platform and the chuck can be adjusted from touching the work platform up to 8" (200mm). Use a drill press vise, like the Foredom Drill Press vise (our number
134.357), to hold work while drilling.
You will need to source longer bolts with appropriate nuts to secure the Foredom Drill Press Vise to the Mini Drill Press work platform.
Imported by Euro Tool, this bench top drill press has a one year warranty and comes with one extra belt, a chuck key, several hex keys and operating instructions. The steel work platform measures 9-1/2" wide by 6-3/4" long. Stands 13-1/2" tall when fully extended. Made in China.
