Otto Frei Simple Jewelers Kit

We put this kit together for customers who were asking for an even lower priced starter jewelry making kit. While omitting the slim inside ring half round file from this kit in order to reduce the cost, we couldn't call it a jewelers kit without including genuine Swiss Made needle files, so this kit includes a Swiss made Glardon-Vallorbe 6 piece needle file set. We were able to make reductions in price by substituting a plastic mallet instead of the rawhide mallet, reducing the number of saw blades from 3 dozen from 2 dozen, substituting a simple brass gauge for the digital caliper, and removing the 2 ring bending pliers (you can always bend stock using the hammer and the ring mandrel).

We did add a couple of new items to this kit, the bench pin and block and a tube of Stay Sharp sawing lubricant.
