This version of the compressed air casting torch is shorter in length than the original version (4-1/4" vs 6") and has a smaller diameter rosebud tip (15mm vs 20mm). It has a 90 degree bent head. Because it is smaller this tip is more suitable for casting small amounts of gold or silver or for use as a annealing torch. 

Use this compressed air casting torch head with 1.5 Bar (21 PSI) of compressed air. (Stamped D-1.5 bar on torch head-D stands for Druckluft which is German for compressed air).

The compressed air casting torch uses compressed air and gas, and is not made for use with oxygen. If used with oxygen, the tip will be damaged. Using compressed air and gas has several advantages for use as a casting torch, and is very commonly used in Europe. A compressed air flame has less oxygen to burn, so it's not as hot as using pure oxygen-however, it's still plenty hot enough to do the job. Compressed air/gas also produces a larger, bushier flame that covers your crucible completely and doesn't add as much oxidation possibility that a pure oxygen/gas melt can. For best results use with Propane, as Natural gas won't burn as hot. Do not use with Acetylene or Hydrogen gas.
