Rotary Tumbler Kit, 110V, with 3 lbs of Rust Resistant Stainless Steel Shot & 2 Oz of Otto MF 610 Burnishing Compound Solution.

Includes 3lbs of Rust Resistant Stainless Steel Shot & Burnishing Compound

These basic rotary tumblers are built to run continuously, slowly but methodically working away the entire long day and night. Use them to burnish and brighten your jewelry with steel shot and detergent or cut down with plastic or ceramic media and detergent.  These tumblers also make great rock tumblers when run with silicone carbide for cutting and cerium oxide for polishing. Maximum weight capacity of the molded rubber barrel is 3 lbs including media and materials being processed.  Unit measures 8-1/2" Deep by 7-1/2" High by 6" Wide. Thumblers Tumblers made by Tru-Square Metal Products. Made in the USA.

This is our Rotary Tumbler Kit with 3 lbs of Stainless Steel Shot.  Also included is a 2 ounce bottle of Otto MF 610 concentrated burnishing compound.  Stainless steel shot is rust resistant, while regular steel shot will easily rust if not carefully handled.

Kit Includes:

  • 147.772 Otto MF 610 Concentrated Burnishing Compound 2 Oz.
  • 147.795 Stainless Steel Mixed Shot-3 Lbs.
  • 147.781 Small Rotary Tumbler 110V

What is Rotary Tumbling?  Rotary tumbling is a proven mass finishing technique for burnishing or cutting surfaces. Effects are achieved over a period of several hours or even days, as tumbling is the slowest of all the mass finishing techniques, but capacity for dollar spent is the greatest. Use steel media with detergent compounds to burnish and work-harden pieces or use plastic media with detergents for aggressive cut-down.

Pros:

Shines and Burnishes Surfaces

Cons:

Slowest mass finishing technique.  Not for final polish on broad flat surfaces.
