Advanced Forming Stake 1.50" (1-1/2") For Synclastic Raising

The advanced forming stakes are used for synclastic and anticlastic shaping.  Developed with a lower cost in mind, the advanced forming stakes makes it easy to get full support while forming, an issue that can occur with the standard forged sinusoidal stakes.

This is the 1.50" (1-1/2" or 38.1mm) Advanced Forming Stake.  The number refers to the diameter of the repeated curve of the stake.  Imagine the circle that the curve in the stake would make if it continued.  The diameter of that circle would be 1.50" (1-1/2" or 38.1mm) for this particular stake. Each bay is an increase of .125” from the previous size.   We currently also have two smaller sizes of Advanced Forming Stakes, a .125" (1/8" or 3.17mm) and a .25" (1/4" or 6.35mm). The delrin shot filled cross peen hammer and delrin shot filled round peen hammer are excellent companions for forming with this stake.
