Silicon Carbide leaves a bright sparkely finish. The 100 mesh silicon carbide media works well with our pencil bead blaster and in bead blaster with a nozzel diameter of at least 3mm (1/8"). If you looked at the silicon carbide media under a mircroscope you would see that they are round sharp rocks. When these small beads impact on the surface, they rapidly remove material leaving a bright sparkely surface.
