Platinum Series Rolling Mills from PEPETOOLS utilize a unique hardening procedure that offers excellent wear resistance.  The outer 3mm of the high quality carbon steel alloy rolls are hardened to 60 HRC for superior deformation resistance.  Pepe’s unique hardening process results in gradual roll hardening from the inside of the roll out, so that the Rockwell hardness of a Pepe roll varies from 32 HRC 15mm deep to 60 HRC on the surface.  The new Platinum Series Rolling Mills have grey powder coated frames for improved corrosion protection (prior versions of the Pepe rolling mills were painted black).
