The MKR-402 Maker Precisionsmith Wide Raising Hammer is a delicate crosspein hammer for texturing round wire with a subtle hammer texture like the MKR-2 Maker Planishing Hammer but it is smaller and lighter, with a head that is 65 mm long vs. 70 mm for the MRK-2, and with polished ends that are about 25% smaller in diameter. It is also used for forming thin metal into concave shapes on miniature stakes.
