Vallorbe Swiss Eco Range Machinist-Engineers Files-Three-Square LX5560 

Three-Square, also called Triangle Shape Machinist Files, taper to a cut end.  They are double cut on all three sides. They do not taper to a point. 

Choose from 2 Lengths:   
6" (150mm)    
8" (200mm)    

And 3 different cuts:    
Bastard Cut (Marked 1)    
Second Cut (Marked 2)    
Third Cut (Marked 3)   

These Swiss pattern machinists or engineers files are double cut.

Machinist files (also called Engineers files) are made to a different standard than Jewelers Precision files. Cuts and shapes are different. A Machinist file Bastard cut (marked 1) is coarser than a jewelers file marked 1. A Machinist file will have slightly different dimensions than a Jewelers Precision file. Lengths on Machinist files are measured from the top or point of the file to the point when the tang begins to angle up to the heel. Lengths on Jewelers Precision files are measured from the top or point of the file to the point where the heel begins to angle down to the heel.
