Description

These are the discs a bench reaches for when a polishing progression has to follow a curve or a setting without loading up compound: the abrasive is built into the bristles, so nothing needs recharging. The 3M 3/4" Radial Bristle Discs are professional-grade polishing and finishing discs for flex shaft use, sold in packs of 12 individual discs. They stack onto a pin-hole mandrel, and you can run one disc or stack four to six together to build a flexible brush suited to the job.

The discs are long-lasting and cool-running, giving a uniform, easy-to-control finish without the heat buildup that damages delicate work. Seven grits cover the full spectrum from rapid scratch removal to final high-polish finishing, so a complete progression can be built for metal, stone settings and other jewelry surfaces.

Compatibility

Designed for use with a flex shaft. The discs mount on a pin-hole mandrel, which is sold separately.

Notes

  • This listing is for the 3/4" diameter size only. Radial Bristle Discs are also made in 9/16" and 1" sizes for flex shaft use, and in 2" and 3" diameters for use on a polishing lathe.
  • Beware of low-cost imitations; insist on genuine 3M Radial Bristle Discs.
  • Pin-hole mandrel sold separately.

I love the option of ordering the grits I use most often in individual packets vs. the kits that always have a few grits I don’t ever use. This is so much more cost effective!
