Badeco 8LC100 Micro Polishing-Micro Filing Handpiece with Duplex Spring

Corners, recesses and the other tight areas a conventional polishing tool cannot get into are exactly where this reciprocating handpiece works. The Badeco 8LC100 is a micro-polishing and micro-filing handpiece that accepts ceramic files and miniature files, making it a precise solution for finishing complex jewelry and metalwork surfaces. Part number 134.748 includes the duplex spring; it is also available without a duplex spring as part number 134.748ND.

The 8LC100 holds tools up to 3.0mm in diameter with a 1.0mm stroke length and runs at 500–7,000 RPM. It measures 106mm (4-1/4") in length, weighs just 55 grams, operates at approximately 30 decibels and is completely vibration free. No oiling is ever required. The 8LC100 is engineered for continuous use up to 8 hours a day, 7 days a week, with no user servicing needed.

Use it with Ceramic Files or Glardon-Vallorbe Miniature Files, or adapt your own files and felt points. Ceramic files and Vallorbe miniature files are held in the Universal Tool Holder via a set screw. An additional Universal Tool Holder may be purchased separately (part number 134.743-UTH), and a special 3.2mm tool holder using two set screws is also available separately (part number 134.743-320).

The 8LC100 is imported into the USA by Otto Frei and converted for "key tip" USA-type flex shaft use. It carries a 6-month factory warranty against defects in parts and manufacturing for all components from the duplex spring attachment up. A version for the Badeco Micromotor system is sold as the Badeco 4LC100.

Notes

• Duplex spring warning: duplex springs and all USA-made duplex spring connection parts carry no warranty. Do not bend the duplex spring beyond 45 degrees during use or when detaching it from the flex shaft. Duplex springs may fail during normal use.
• For extended duplex spring life, run the handpiece on a low-speed, high-torque Foredom flex shaft motor (Series TX or LX). High RPM operation can cause premature duplex spring failure.
• Replacement inner duplex springs are available: single piece part number 134.279 (Foredom HP76); pack of 12 part number 134.280 (Foredom HP76B).
• Parts used for the USA conversion are made in the USA and are not covered by the factory warranty.
