Round burs enlarge a drilled hole and cut a secure seat for the rondelle of the stone, the second step in pavé setting. Busch Fig. 1AU carbide round burs are built for that job: used after a 4205S carbide twist drill, they deliver clean, controlled cutting even in the toughest metals. Solid carbide construction and a powerful blade geometry suit them to platinum, titanium, steel, and hard alloys, and the 3/32 in. (2.35 mm) shank fits standard flex shaft and micromotor handpieces. Sold individually in sizes from 0.30 mm to 3.50 mm.
