Melting gold cleanly starts with a crucible that resists oxidation, and this replacement graphite crucible is sized for 100 troy ounce (3 kilo) gold capacity Kerr Electro Melt furnaces. It is machined from virgin graphite rather than compressed graphite, which makes it heavier than many alternatives and gives it a bright, shiny, smooth surface when new. It is manufactured to match Kerr part numbers 29479 and 35621 as a direct replacement in compatible Kerr Maxi Electro Melt models.

Graphite gives maximum resistance to oxidation while metal is being melted. To avoid contamination, use a separate crucible for each metal type.
