How we source our metal
These large extra-heavy 7.3 mm friction earring backs — also called friction ear nuts — are designed for secure, professional earring construction. The 7.3 mm measurement refers to the outside diameter at the widest part of the nut. Each back is compatible with ear post diameters ranging from 0.76 mm to 0.97 mm, corresponding to approximately 21 to 18 gauge wire. Available in 14K yellow, 14K white, 18K yellow, and 18K white gold, these findings are made in the USA using 100% recycled gold by a leading precious metal findings manufacturer certified to ISO 14001:2015 Environmental and ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System standards.
