Foredom H.15D Hammer Handpiece with Duplex Spring

A hammer handpiece drives a reciprocating tip instead of a spinning bur, which is what stone setting and texturing work at the bench requires. The Foredom H.15D Hammer Handpiece with Duplex Spring delivers that reciprocating action at a more accessible price point than the top-of-the-line Swiss-made Badeco reciprocating hammer handpiece, and it is supplied with a hardened tip. Run it at low speed only, 0–5,000 RPM, on a Low Speed High Torque Foredom motor (Otto Frei item 134.159).

Compatibility

The 4-48 US tip thread accepts popular Badeco tips, and Foredom hammer tips are interchangeable with the Swiss-made Badeco hammer handpiece. The handpiece also takes the Foredom Pavé Point diamond tip accessory (Otto Frei part number 153.195) for bright-cut stippled texturing effects, and the Foredom Carbide Tip (HP10212, Otto Frei part number 134.301) for marking or inscribing hardened steel. It must be driven by a Low Speed High Torque Foredom motor (Otto Frei item 134.159).

Notes

• Use at low speed only (0–5,000 RPM). The pedal controls speed, not power.
• This handpiece must be run using a Low Speed High Torque Foredom motor (item 134.159). Using the correct motor will extend the life of the duplex spring.
• Duplex springs and all related USA-made duplex spring connection parts carry no warranty.
• Do not bend the duplex spring beyond 45 degrees during use. Bending beyond this angle or improper detachment from the flex shaft can damage the spring.
• Duplex springs can also fail during normal use.
• It is strongly recommended that you purchase additional inner duplex springs and learn how to replace them. The inner duplex spring is the most common part to fail.
• Replacement inner duplex springs are available individually (Otto Frei part number 134.279, Foredom HP76) or in a pack of 12 (Otto Frei part number 134.280, Foredom HP76B).
• Requires periodic lubrication with MS10005 Handpiece Lube (Otto Frei part number 134.343).
