Foredom K.2252 Chisel Carving Kit with Hanger

Power assisted chisel carving in wood, plastic, plaster and soft carving stone needs a reciprocating handpiece and a motor that holds its torque at low speed. The Foredom K.2252 Chisel Carving Kit with Hanger supplies both as a matched, ready to use system, built around the Series LX (M.LX) permanent magnet motor rated to a maximum of 5,000 RPM and the H.50 reciprocating chisel handpiece, with 17 chisels supplied across three sets.

The C.EMX tabletop dial speed control runs on 115V and converts AC to the DC current the LX motor requires, which gives the H.50 the constant speed supply it needs. The MAMH-1 motor hanger with bench clamp mounts the motor overhead and keeps the working area clear.

Notes

• The LX motor requires a speed control that converts AC to DC current, which means TXR, SXR or EMX. It will not work with Series SR speed controls.
• The H.50 chisel handpiece should not be run at high speed. The 5,000 RPM limit of the LX motor makes it the correct match for this handpiece.
• The H.50 requires a constant speed supply, and the included EMX tabletop dial control is matched to that purpose.
