A flex shaft kit puts rotary power at the end of a flexible shaft, so roughing out, shaping, sanding and detailing a carving all happen with a light handpiece in your fingers and the speed under your foot. The Foredom K.5241 Woodcarving Flex Shaft Kit is a complete 115V woodcarving system built on the M.SR 1/6 HP reversible motor, running up to 18,000 RPM through a foot speed control, with an H.44T collet handpiece that takes 3/32", 1/8" and 1/4" collets and accessory shanks up to 1/4". A 26 piece woodcarving accessory kit and a bench clamp motor hanger come in the box, and every Foredom motor carries a two year warranty.

Compatibility

The SR series motor includes its standard flexible shaft and sheath, which accepts Foredom and other manufacturers' Quick Disconnect handpieces. The H.44T handpiece holds 3/32", 1/8" and 1/4" accessory shanks.

Notes

Reverse mode caution: when screw top mandrels are used with unmounted polishing wheels, the reverse feature can unscrew the mandrel screw. Use only pre-mounted polishing wheels that are permanently mounted on mandrels when running the motor in reverse.
