Ottoflex S Flex Shaft Kit-110V- Motor, No.30 Style Handpiece & Foot Control

A flex shaft kit hangs a motor above the bench and delivers drilling, grinding, polishing, and finishing power to your hand through a flexible drive shaft. The Ottoflex S Model 2 is a value-driven kit with dependable control and solid build quality. A sealed bearing motor rated at 1/8 HP runs across a 0–20,000 RPM range, and a No. 30 style adjustable chuck handpiece with key pairs with a responsive plastic foot control for smooth low speed starts and fast stock removal. The kit ships with the motor, the handpiece and its key, the foot control and a North American 3-prong plug, and runs on 110V / 60 Hz at 2.6 A.

Compatibility

The Ottoflex S Model 2 is compatible with all Foredom key tip handpieces and all Foredom 110V speed controls. The key tip drive shaft and sheath dimensions are similar to those of the Foredom SR model.

Notes

• The Ottoflex S Model 2 shares no parts with the original Ottoflex. Shafts and sheaths are interchangeable with those used on the Foredom SR.
• Keep the drive line clean and lubricated for smoother running and longer service life.
• Adjusting the key tip means setting the inner shaft to extend 3/4" (19mm) beyond the outer sheath so the handpiece engages properly. Loosen the set screw on the motor coupling, move the sheath inward or outward, then retighten. The key tip must snap firmly into the handpiece keyway.
