Description
A table top dial speed control lets you set a flex shaft's working speed by hand and keep both feet free at the bench. The Foredom C.EM does exactly that: set your preferred speed once with the hand dial, then use the motor's own switch to return to that exact speed every time. The solid-state design delivers continuously variable control from off to full speed, with no hunting or surging, so you can stay focused on the work rather than on managing the motor.
Two voltage versions cover jewelers and metalsmiths worldwide: the C.EM-1 at 115V for North American 110–120 V mains, and the C.EMH-2 for 220V / 240V mains. The compact plastic housing, just 5" long by 5-3/4" wide by 2-5/8" high, sits securely on the bench without crowding your workspace, and a green indicator light confirms power is live at a glance.
Features
- Table top solid-state speed control operated by a hand dial, so no foot pedal is required
- Continuously variable speed range from Off to full speed
- Green indicator light shows when power to the control is on
- Set a speed once and use the motor's own switch to return to it reliably
- Replaceable fuse protects internal electronics from power surges and overloads
- Compact plastic housing sits securely on the bench with a minimal footprint
Available Options
| Part # | Model | Voltage |
|---|---|---|
| 134.330 | C.EM-1 | 115V (for 110–120 V mains) |
| 134.330-230V | C.EMH-2 | 220V / 240V (for 220–240 V mains) |
Compatibility
- C.EM-1 (115V): compatible with the discontinued Foredom motors CC, MM, DD, EE, MMG, GG, S, SM, SB, 1/8 HP SR, SRM, SRB, L, LM, LB, JJ, F, and K
- C.EM-1 (115V): also works with most other flex shaft brands using a standard 3-prong plug, including Pfingst, OttoFlex, and Buffalo Dental
- C.EM-1 and C.EMH-2: suitable for Foredom SR and SRH series motors and OttoFlex motors. Match the motor voltage to the control voltage
- Not compatible with Foredom TX, TXH, LX, or LXH motors. Use the C.EMX series controls for those motors
Notes
- Select the 115V C.EM-1 for 110–120 V regions and the C.EMH-2 for 220–240 V regions. Do not connect a 220V / 240V control to a 110–120 V circuit
- Leave the dial in position and cycle the motor's own switch to return to a previously dialed-in speed
- Replace the fuse only with the specified rating to maintain protection against power surges and overloads
- Position the control where the dial is easy to reach and route cords clear of your working area
