Foredom M.TX Hang-up Motor with C.SXR-1 Cast Iron Foot Control and Choice of Handpiece 115V

A hang-up flex shaft motor mounts above the bench and sends rotary power down a flexible shaft to the handpiece in your hand, for drilling, cutting, grinding, and stone setting. The Foredom M.TX is the most powerful flex shaft motor in the Foredom lineup. This package combines the Foredom 115V M.TX motor, the Foredom 115V cast iron C.SXR-1 metal foot control, and your choice of fourteen handpieces, or the motor and control on their own, so you have everything you need for demanding professional use right out of the box.

The M.TX is a 1/3 HP permanent magnet DC hi-torque motor that uses advanced rare earth magnets in place of the wound fields found in Foredom's M.SR motors, delivering more torque at low speeds and throughout the entire speed range. That gives greater control of cutting tools, drills, and burs under any load, a must for stone setters who begin drilling at the lowest possible speed. Smooth acceleration reaches up to 15,000 RPM.

The TX series replaces the long discontinued Series R and uses special TX-compatible foot and dial controls. The flex shaft connects to all standard handpieces.

Important: The Foredom M.TX motor must always be used with a compatible speed control device. Never plug the M.TX motor directly into a wall outlet.

Notes

• Foredom TX motors run on 110V / 115V only. TX and TXH motors are not offered in a 220V / 240V version.
• Do not use speed controls from outside the TX series with TX motors.
• If you choose a hammer handpiece, keep the speed low; hammer handpieces do their best work at moderate speed, and any duplex spring should stay straighter than 45 degrees.
