Busch Fig. 411CCC Clean Cut Concave Cup Kit of 20 Burs 1.00mm-2.30mm

A cup bur rounds and finishes the tip of a prong after a stone is set. Busch Fig. 411CCC clean cut concave cup burs are among the most precise jeweler's burs available, engineered to ultra-high tolerances from tungsten vanadium steel, and this kit spans ten sizes from 1.00 mm to 2.30 mm with two burs of each size.

CCC stands for Clean Cut Concave. Clean cut means the cutting edges are open, so metal shavings clear from inside the bur without marring the surface being cut. Concave is the traditional cup shape that leaves a rounded, finished top on the prong, which is what prong finishing and setting work calls for. The kit is supplied in a plastic bur box with 48 holes for 3/32 in shank burs.
