A micromotor system for the drilling, grinding, stone setting and polishing work that happens at the jeweler's bench, supplied here as a basic kit built around a brushless motor, a slim quick-change handpiece and a bench-top control unit. The Nakanishi NSK EMax EVOlution Micromotor Basic Kit, Lever Style brings professional-grade rotary performance to the bench. Trusted by the finest goldsmiths in the world, NSK micromotors are known for their quality, reliability and smooth, precise power delivery. This kit includes the slim, lightweight IH-300 Lever Style quick-change handpiece, which uses a simple flip-lever mechanism to open and close the collet chuck.

The system runs across a speed range of 1,000–40,000 RPM and supports both forward and reverse rotation. Set speed directly on the dial of the NE-249 control box, or add the optional foot control to choose between foot-operated set-point control and variable speed control. The NE-249 carries two micromotor inputs, so a second motor and handpiece can be added. With the optional 4:1 reduction gear the range drops to 250–10,000 RPM for detailed low-speed work. The IH-300 is supplied with 3/32" and 1/8" collets, and the control box runs on 120V.

i have used this for over 5 years as a replacement to other brands tried and it has become invaluable in both stone setting and polishing, without a doubt it performs better than any other micromotor i have used and has a Mercedes feel to the handpiece, it has not given me a moment of problems, 5 star performance all around and worth the investment for any professional
