Ventura-Melt 100 Ounce Electric Melting Furnaces-120V or 230V

A programmable electric furnace for melting, casting, and refining charges at the bench, sized for production gold and silver work. The Ventura-Melt 3 kilogram (100 troy ounce) gold capacity "Maxi" electric melting furnace was formerly branded as the Kerr Electro-Melt. New brand, same machine.

Kerr sold three generations of melting furnaces branded as Electro-Melts. The last generation, and the most reliable, were the Electro-Melts manufactured in Italy. Those machines are offered again here as Ventura-Melts, made in Italy and mechanically identical to the Kerr Maxi Electro-Melt.

The 100 troy ounce gold capacity Ventura-Melt has digital controls with a built-in programmer, so you can set a precise melt temperature instead of relying on the manual hi-low controls of the earlier generations, where overshooting could ruin both the melt and the element. Used as instructed, the automatic control extends element life and suits production casting or refining. It is easy to program and simple to pour, reaching 982°C / 1800°F in 31 minutes against a maximum of 1100°C / 2012°F. Also available in a 1 kilogram (30 troy ounce) "Standard" capacity, in the same two voltages.

Compatibility

These are the same machines as the Kerr Maxi Electro-Melt, and all parts are interchangeable because all parts are identical. If you own a last generation 3 kilogram (100 troy ounce) Kerr Electro-Melt, model 35224 or 35225, you can source parts for it as Ventura-Melt parts. The last generation Italian-made Kerr Electro-Melts were extremely reliable: hundreds were sold with zero requests for spare parts. Crucibles are shared across all generations.

Notes

Kerr closed its Jewelry Division at the end of 2017 and the Kerr Electro-Melt brand was retired. There are no parts available for the previous two generations of Kerr Electro-Melts; only the crucibles are the same. Only parts for the last generation Kerr Electro-Melts are available as Ventura-Melt parts.

In the event of a defect in material or workmanship, VCG Ventura SRL's liability is limited, at VCG Ventura SRL's option, to replacement of the defective product or part thereof, or reimbursement of the actual cost of the defective product. In order to take advantage of this limited warranty, the defective product must be returned to VCG Ventura SRL. In no event shall VCG Ventura SRL, or any of their dealers or agents, be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
