The Fretz R-102 Large Tapered Raising T-Stake is a professional-grade forming tool measuring 7" (178 mm) tip to tip, designed for traditional silversmithing and large-format metalwork. With undercut and rolled ends, this stake excels at forming full-size vessels and other substantial hollow forms, giving experienced metalsmiths the control and surface quality demanded by serious raising work.

Cast from 420 stainless steel and hardened to 50 HRC — the same grade and hardness used across the Fretz hammer line — the R-102 resists denting and corrosion that commonly affect cast iron silversmithing stakes. The highly polished working surfaces help produce smooth, refined forms without unwanted texture transfer.
