Hard soldering, known as brazing in other industries, is distinct from low-temperature soft soldering performed with soldering irons and tin or lead solders. Hard soldering is performed with a torch at temperatures starting at approximately 1500°F, using solder materials such as silver solders and gold solders.
Beyond the soldering basics, this kit adds German 5.0 safety glasses, a blue denim apron, a rotating square soldering platform, a set of three titanium soldering picks, and an 8 oz jar of Ottoflux paste flux.
This kit is intended for buyers who already own a torch system. A torch and solder material are not included and must be purchased separately.
