Heat Shield is a protective paste for soldering near stones, delicate components, or heat-sensitive materials at the bench without removing them first. It withstands direct flame temperatures up to 5000°F, creating a thermal barrier that shields vulnerable parts during soldering operations. Heat Shield also prevents oxidation on surrounding metal surfaces, helping ensure cleaner solder joints with less cleanup. The formula is odorless and non-toxic, making it suitable for use in enclosed studio and bench environments. After soldering, Heat Shield washes off easily with water, leaving no residue that requires additional chemical removal. It is supplied as a paste in a 1 lb can.
