Sizing a wax ring at the bench means opening the finger hole cleanly and stopping at the right size. The Matt Ring Tube Sizer from Du-Matt is a precision wax-working tool that enlarges the finger hole of wax ring models with speed and accuracy. The hardwood mandrel is machined to incorporate a steel cutting blade that extends from the handle to the tapered tip. Slide the reamer through the hole of a wax ring or ring tube and rotate it gently clockwise; as the blade turns, it scrapes the inner wall, enlarging the ring to the size clearly marked on the mandrel and leaving a smooth, uniform finish inside.

Notes

Because the mandrel is slightly tapered, you may need to reverse the cutting direction to even out the inside of the wax. Additional flattening can be done with a file, or use the Matt Ring Reamer (121.02887) to achieve a perfectly flat inside cut.
