Knew Concepts Mk.V Saw Frames with Lever Tension 3" & 5"

A jeweler's saw frame holds and tensions the blade you pierce, cut, and detail with at the bench. The Knew Concepts Mk.V Jeweler's Saw Frame with Cam-Lever Tension is a refined evolution of the classic jeweler's saw, engineered for rapid, repeatable blade changes without sacrificing precision. Designed for piercing work and other applications requiring frequent blade swaps, the lever system lets you set your preferred blade tension once with the fine-tune knob, then simply flip the lever forward to release and back to return to that exact tension every time, with no re-tuning required unless blade size or length changes.

The Mk.V introduces a strengthened triangulated truss design, the same geometry that defines the Mk.IV frames, along with a new, improved blade clamp system. The clamps now feature witness holes so you can visually confirm the blade is fully seated before tensioning. The extra clamp length provides more contact area for a more secure grip, and the witness holes also allow sawdust to escape, keeping the clamp faces clean and reliable over extended use. The frame is offered in 3" (75 mm) and 5" (125 mm) throat depths.

Features

Notes

What you get:

• If the lever resists closing, back off the fine knob slightly before closing; do not force the lever.
• If blade slipping occurs, clean the clamp faces and ensure the blade seats straight against the anvil screw.
• The lever can be flipped to slacken the blade at the end of use, which is gentle on blade life during storage.
