A wax carver puts controlled heat on the tip of a hand tool so wax can be melted, smoothed, and cut at the bench without reaching for a flame. The Foredom K.WC-1 Wax Carver is a simple, compact electric wax carver for professional jewelers and metalsmiths who need precise, reliable heat control for wax work. The control box carries a precision heat control dial that maintains temperatures from 95°F (35°C) up to 560°F (294°C), so you can work delicately at low heat or move up for fast wax removal and harder waxes. A flashing indicator light shows heat intensity and doubles as a reminder to power down when the tool is not in use.
The control box measures just 2-1/2" x 2" (64 mm x 51 mm), leaving the workbench free and uncluttered. Mount it with Velcro and plug in the handpiece only when it is needed. The lightweight handpiece uses cork insulation to keep fingertips cool during extended sessions, and the detachable cord is both lightweight and highly flexible, which suits the controlled movements fine wax detailing requires. The included brass tips are easy to clean, quick to swap out, and can be reshaped with a file or pliers to create custom tip profiles.
