Glardon-Vallorbe LO0401-HSS Flat Traditional Gravers-0.20mm to 2.00mm

These traditional flat gravers cut metals, wood, bone, ivory, and onyx at the bench, and they are the long-standing choice of jewelers, stone setters, die sinkers, and watchmakers. They are supplied unshaped, so each one must be shaped and fitted into a handle before use.

The LO0401 series is High Speed Steel (HSS), which is harder than carbon steel, holds an edge longer, and requires sharpening less often on most metals. Glardon-Vallorbe produces them at Usines Metallurgiques de Vallorbe SA (UMV) in Vallorbe, Switzerland, where they carry the Fish trademark and the Glardon-Vallorbe Swiss Made name. They were previously sold in the USA under the Grobet name and are now offered under the factory brand used worldwide.

Ten sizes run from 0.20 mm (#36) to 2.00 mm (#45). Swiss sizing is measured in 1/10 mm increments, and the USA size is given where available.
