Description

Chiudere a mano un castone o un'incassatura tubolare richiede una pressione uniforme e controllata sul bordo, non un colpo di martello. Le pinze Ezi-Set per l'incassatura delle pietre sono state progettate dal maestro orafo Peter Keep di Jewellery Training Solutions per rendere questo lavoro più semplice ed efficiente al banco da orafo.

La ganascia in nylon si posiziona sotto l'incassatura e la sostiene, mentre la punta di brunitura applica una pressione uniforme e controllata sul bordo dell'incassatura, così il bordo si sposta con il minimo sforzo. In dotazione con le pinze vengono fornite tre punte aggiuntive, che possono essere sagomate per diversi lavori di incassatura delle pietre.

Le punte delle pinze sono ora dotate di teste zigrinate per una facile regolazione con le dita e non utilizzano più dadi. La filettatura è invariata, quindi le punte attuali e quelle della versione precedente restano intercambiabili.

It looks like I am supposed to modify the tip in order to use this? Is there more info on modifying the tips and what modification will yield what design?

Does this work on silver? Would this type of setting crack stones softer than diamonds?

Yes the Ezi-Set pliers will work with all non ferrous metals including silver. You don't need to use a lot of pressure to move small amounts of metal but too much pressure could cause some soft stones with thin girdles to crack so practice on cheaper stones first.
