These aluminum oxide sanding bands deliver fast, clean material removal and smooth pre-polishing results on metal and other materials. Made with high-grade mineral and a precision bonding system that reduces shelling, these bands maintain their cutting action longer for consistent, reliable performance. Measuring 1/4" diameter x 1/2" long, they are designed for use with 1/4" diameter rubber sanding drum mandrels available in either 3/32" or 1/8" shaft diameters. To install, slip the band onto the rubber drum with the screw loose, position it, then tighten the screw to expand the drum for a secure hold. Sold in packs of 10. Made in the USA.

Rubber sanding drum mandrels with 3/32" or 1/8" diameter shafts are required for use and are sold separately. Optimal operating speed is between 25% and 50% of the 40,000 RPM maximum.
