Argentium Silver Sheet Metal - Price Per 6" x 1" Piece

Saw, pierce, form and solder sheet stock at the bench with far less firescale to chase afterward. Argentium Silver sheet combines the brightness of fine silver with the strength and workability of traditional sterling, and resists tarnish and firescale. Alloyed with a small amount of germanium, it blocks the oxidation that causes firescale during heating and soldering, so less of the job goes into polishing and finishing. Produced in the United Kingdom by Argentium International.

This sheet is sold by the inch in a 6" width, and each unit purchased is one 6" x 1" piece supplied in ½ hard temper. Multiple units ship as one continuous piece unless you ask otherwise at checkout: 1 unit gives one piece measuring 6" x 1", 2 units give one piece measuring 6" x 2", and 6 units give one piece measuring 6" x 6".

Maximum continuous length available is 6" x 12". Sheets are cut along the 6" width in full-inch increments only. To request several cuts from the same gauge, order the total number of inches you need and include the cutting instructions in the comment box at checkout.

• Gauges 16 through 26 are Argentium 940 alloy; gauges 28 and 30 are Argentium 930 alloy.
• If a softer condition is needed, anneal gently with a torch or kiln. Avoid overheating so the germanium oxide layer that carries the tarnish resistance survives.
