How we source our metal
Reach for this sheet at the bench when a job calls for enameling, keum-boo foil work, or fine fabrication where purity matters more than hardness. The stock is .999 fine silver, unalloyed, cut to order from 6" x 12" master sheets in full-inch increments along the 6" width and sold per 6" x 1" piece. For a continuous piece, order by total inches: a 6" x 6" sheet is a quantity of 6.
Because fine silver carries no alloying metals, it is softer and more malleable than sterling (.925) or Argentium silver, which makes it easy to form, fuse, and enamel but also easier to scratch. It is not medical grade. Ten gauges are stocked, from 16 gauge at 1.30 mm (0.051") down to 30 gauge at 0.25 mm (0.010").
