Glardon-Vallorbe Escapement Files - Set Of 12 - Cut 6 XFine

Escapement files take on the most delicate and precise filing in watchmaking and fine metalsmithing, where a needle file is too wide and too thick for the work. Also called watchmakers files, they are narrower and thinner in section. This set of 12 is cut 6, Extra Fine, the finest grade in the escapement file range, for highly refined finishing and detail work on intricate components.

Every file in the set has a square handle and measures 5½" (14 cm) from tip to handle end. For escapement files the millimeter measurement always refers to the cut length, not the overall tip-to-tip length. The set brings together an assortment of profiles and cut lengths to cover a wide range of precision filing at the bench, and is sold as a set of 12.
