Badeco 465 Carbon Quick Change Handpiece MX Micromotors

A quick change micromotor handpiece lets a jeweler swap burs mid-cut without stopping the motor, which matters on long setting and finishing runs. The Badeco 465 Carbon Edition Quick Change Handpiece is the successor to the Badeco 450, built for MX Series and M4 ASF control boxes and powered by the Badeco RS2000 micromotor. Genuine carbon external components over stainless steel construction make this Swiss-made handpiece lighter and more wear resistant than its predecessor. As of January 2023, it is standard equipment on all Badeco MX Series micromotors sold at OttoFrei.com.

The 465 Carbon accepts 3/32" (2.34–2.35mm) diameter shank tools and opens and closes by twisting the body of the handpiece. Optional 1.6mm and 3mm collets are available separately for wider tool compatibility.

Notes

The collet on the Badeco 465 Carbon is extremely precise and is engineered for burs whose shanks are held to the same precision. Recommended bur brands include Busch, Brasseler (marketed as Fox Germany, Panther, or Komet), and Dentsply Maillefer (the Otto Frei Swiss brand). American-made HSS burs are not recommended, because their shanks are not made to the same uniform precision and will not give the best results in this handpiece.
