This model features taper fit shafts. Baldor taper fit shafts accept special taper fit spindles that slide onto the shaft and are tapped at the spindle end for a secure friction fit. Spindles are removed using the spindle-removing rings — as the screw-fit rings rotate, they push the friction-fit spindles off the shaft. Taper fit spindles are sold separately.
