Faro-Foredom H.10D Quick Change Handpiece with Duplex Spring

A quick change handpiece lets you release and close the collet by lever, so burs swap one handed at the bench. The Faro-Foredom H.10D is the professional grade version fitted with a duplex spring connection, widely regarded as the workhorse for professional jewelers and the smoothest running of all Foredom quick change handpieces, which is why stone setters reach for it. Made in Italy, it pairs a slender body with a lever style quick change mechanism, and its pre-lubricated ball bearings require no lubrication for the life of the handpiece.

The duplex spring version measures 7-5/16" long by 5/8" in diameter. The duplex spring itself is not made by Faro; it is attached after the handpiece leaves the factory, in the USA, and the flexible connection it provides lets the handpiece move freely on the shaft.

Channel setting is made easier with the optional Channel Setting Set (item 134.238A), a set of depth guides that fits the H.10 or H.10D to control cutting depth and keep stones straight, parallel and firmly seated.

Notes

• Duplex spring warning: duplex springs are not manufactured by Faro and are attached post-factory. They carry no warranty.
• Do not bend the duplex spring beyond 45 degrees in use. Working past that angle, or detaching it from the flex shaft improperly, can cause damage.
• Duplex springs can also fail in normal use. Keep spare inner duplex springs on hand and learn how to replace them.
• The Channel Setting Set (item 134.238A) is sold separately and provides depth control guides for channel setting and other precision stone setting work.
