This book holds 25 loose fine (pure) silver leaves, each measuring 3-3/8" x 3-3/8" (85 x 85 mm), and one book covers approximately 1-1/2 sq ft (about 0.14 m²). Loose leaf releases easily from its tissue backing for delicate placement; unlike transfer leaf, it is preferred for interior work, fine details, and surfaces not exposed to weather. Sold per book of 25 leaves.

Notes

• Loose silver leaf lifts readily from the tissue; handle it with a gilder's tip or knife and minimize air currents during application.
• Use an adhesive appropriate to the substrate and burnish gently after laying.
• For Keum-boo applications, use dedicated Keum-boo gold foil. Loose silver leaf is not a substitute for traditional Keum-boo bonding.
• Transfer leaf, which is not included here, is generally preferred for outdoor or weather-exposed applications.
