Foredom K.1080 Hammer Micromotor Kit-Ships Free

A reciprocating hammer system for stone setting, channel work, engraving and metal texturing at the bench, driven straight from a control box with no flexible shaft and no air compressor. The Foredom K.1080 pairs the H.MH-110 adjustable hammer handpiece with the HP4-960 variable speed foot control, delivering 0–2,500 strokes per minute, and a knurled impact force ring sets hammer strength from a light touch to full power. The kit runs on switchable dual voltage, 115V at 1.5 amps or 220V/240V at 0.75 amps.

The handpiece measures 6-1/4" (159 mm) long with a 9/16" (14 mm) grip and a 1" (25 mm) motor diameter, and it weighs 13 oz (369 g). It drives threaded anvil points through an installed HPH8-32 adapter rather than a collet, and the supplied HPH8-214 graver holder turns it into a power engraver. Its bearings are permanently lubricated and maintenance-free, so no oiling is required, and Foredom tests each unit before it ships.

Notes

• Impact adjustment: Rotate the knurled impact ring to set hammer force, and test on similar metal before working on finished pieces.
• Forward only operation: Always operate in forward mode, because running in reverse can permanently damage the handpiece.
• Brush maintenance: Replace the carbon brushes when worn below 2 mm, roughly every 200 hours of typical use.
• Overload protection: If the red overload indicator activates, switch off the unit, correct the condition and restart after a brief pause.
• Engraving use: Install the included graver holder and set stroke speed between 1,000–2,500 strokes per minute for the best control.
