Foredom K.2245 Deluxe Stone Setting Kit with Two Handpieces

Bead, prong and pave setting ask for high torque at very low speed, and this kit puts two setting handpieces on one motor at the bench. The Foredom K.2245 Deluxe Stone Setting Kit is built around the M.LX Series motor, a 1/10 HP permanent magnet ball bearing motor rated to a maximum of 5,000 RPM, paired with the H.18 Quick Change handpiece for standard 3/32" shank accessories and the H.15 Hammer handpiece for impact setting.

The LX Series is the successor to Foredom's discontinued EE, R and original L Series motors, continuing the same high torque, low speed character. Because the M.LX requires a compatible foot control to operate correctly, this kit includes the Foredom C.TXR foot operated variable speed control in a plastic housing, supplied for 115V service. Do not use the M.LX motor with any foot control or bench control other than the Foredom C.TXR, C.SXR or EMX bench mounted control, because an incompatible control may damage the motor.

Notes

• The M.LX motor must be used only with a Foredom C.TXR (plastic housing), C.SXR (metal housing) or EMX bench mounted speed control. Any other control type or make may damage the motor.
• Hammer handpieces should be run at low speed only, generally under 3,000 RPM.
