GRS 003-683 MicroBlock without Attachment Set

A ball vise holds and rotates the work in any direction so an engraver or setter can cut without repositioning their hands. The GRS 003-683 MicroBlock Ball Vise from Glendo GRS is machined from solid stainless steel and finished with a special low-glare treatment to reduce eye strain during extended work sessions. Solid work support comes in a compact, highly maneuverable package only slightly larger than a baseball, which makes the MicroBlock an ideal choice for stone setting, small engraving jobs, and other precision bench work. Its low profile and compact footprint make it especially well suited for microscope work or any situation where a larger vise would be an obstacle.

The smooth self-centering jaw system securely holds workpieces with consistent alignment, while an adjustable internal brake system lets you dial in rotational resistance anywhere from completely free-spinning to fully locked. The working surface is oval shaped, measuring 40 mm × 43 mm, and the jaws open to a maximum of 2 in. (50 mm) on an 80 mm ball.
