GRS 003-773 MicroBlock XL without Attachment Set

A heavier ball vise gives an engraver the mass to take a hard hit without the block shifting under the graver. The GRS 003-773 MicroBlock XL from Glendo GRS is an expanded, heavier version of the original MicroBlock vise, designed to fill the gap between the GRS MicroBlock and the GRS Standard Block. Weighing 7 lb (3.18 kg) with a 100 mm ball diameter, roughly the size of a softball, it delivers the mass needed for hard-hitting engraving work while remaining compact and maneuverable enough for precise, delicate control. Its low profile makes it well suited for use under a microscope, and the internal rotational brake system lets the user dial in rotational resistance anywhere from completely free to fully locked.

Because the MicroBlock XL uses the same jaw system as the original MicroBlock, it is fully compatible with all existing MicroBlock attachments, including Jura Microstonesetting Tools. Adding part #103.775 converts it into a positioning vise for even greater versatility. Two bases, one rubber and one plastic, are included to give the user options for control and feel across different work surfaces. The jaws are 46 mm wide and 22 mm tall with a maximum opening of 2.75 in (70 mm), making the MicroBlock XL an excellent choice for stone setting, small-to-medium engraving, and other precision bench work.
